Pack Trips
Overview
Our 3-day trips are located in the Famous Wind River Mountains just outside of Yellowstone Park. Headquartered near Dubois, WY., a small western, mountain town with unlimited history from Butch Cassidy to WWII concentration camps.
The Experience
Once here, for your Pack Trip we will meet at one of our designated trailheads, where the horses & mules are saddled, packed and ready to go. Everyone is assigned a saddle and horse, according to their size and riding capability.
Once horseback, we typically trail ride 10-12 miles into the wilderness until we reach our camping area. We have beautiful views of The Badlands, Cliff Country, Lakes & Glaciers and often encounter wildlife which as Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Elk, Moose & Deer.
The Extras
If you’re a fisherman or want to try to catch a Cutthroat, Brookie, or Golden Trout - that can be arranged for part of the package, with a fishing license bought in town prior to our departure. Each trip is a little different, according to the preferences of each group.
The trip may include scenic rides, hiking, fishing, or simply laying low and relaxing near camp to take it all in. Meals are provided and reviewed beforehand (multiple options are provided, depending on preferences and/or food allergies).
